The Lord sends blessings in many ways and avenues. In fact, He will send them via any method we will allow and use for His glory, and that is just what He is doing here at McHenry FBC!
We had been searching for economical ways to include some of our folks who are away working, travelling, or could not otherwise be with us physically. We have audio recordings of our services, but didn't have ways to reproduce them in a timely manner. Ben Bennight had been searching for what the Lord was leading Him to do here, and he came with an idea of streaming our services using Ustream. We prayed about it, and decided to give it a try, and on November 16th, we tested it by broadcasting our service. We notified the church family, and had 3 viewers from home! It was an immediate success, so we purchased a web camera, and have been streaming our services since!
While we realize that watching doesn't replace the true fellowship of being here in person, we also realize that we will have some who can not be with us for many reasons from time to time. What you must be careful to avoid, is the temptation to allow this "easy access" to replace your presence in worship services. Trust me, whenever an outlet for the gospel is created, our adversary will search for ways to exploit that, and turn it into something negative. Be careful not to allow yourself to be a victim of his deciet! If you can not make it, by all means watch and participate from wherever you may be! But if you can, don't allow the devil to coax you into being lazy, and simply not coming. Let's see this for what it truly is, and that is an outlet for the gospel message worldwide! Along with that, it is an opportunity for our members and regular attenders who simply can't make it in person, to still be a part of our services here at McHenry.

The initial ad will run for 15 or 30 seconds, and then disappear. As you watch, there will be ads that appear on the bottom of your screen, but do not interfere with the broadcast.
