VBS was simply the BEST EVER at McHenry, or at least it ranked up there alongside the best one ever! We had 88 as our high attendance, and averaged 83 the entire week, and the excitement grew every day. It just seemed that the Lord added something special each and every day, and we PRAISE HIM for it!
Hear it! Believe it! Connect it! was the motto of the week, and everything was built around Romans 10:17. On day 1, the tourists learned that they CAN have faith in Jesus Christ. Day 2 taught them that they can LOVE Jesus, because He loved us first! On day 3, they learned that they can TRUST JESUS as their SAVIOR! On day 4, the message was that they could TELL OTHERS about Jesus. As the week ended on Friday morning, these children learned how they could LIVE for Jesus as well. A great time in the "Big Apple" was enjoyed by the children, and the staff as well!
We are already looking forward to next year, planning props and other exciting things for VBS! It will be around the same time frame, the second or third week of July, and there will be a PARADE the Saturday prior to VBS week! We already have the them logo, and it is even more exciting, just to think of what God will do in McHenry...through VBS! Pray for us, and we will see you in 2012 for VBS!
