To give you a brief overview, McHenry FBC was organized in 1898 as a Southern Baptist congregation, and remains a cooperating SBC organization today. Over the years, it has seen 3 different buildings which serve as the main sanctuary. The current building is of block construction erected in the mid 1950's, and added on to several years later to provide a Fellowship Hall and Sunday School rooms. Eventually the outer walls were bricked, and a small vestibule was added in the 70's. In the early 1980's, the sanctuary was remodeled, covering the old 'blue block' walls with panelling, new carpeting, and other upgrades.

As the church continued to grow, a seperate Sunday School building was constructed, which included a larger Fellowship Hall and kitchen. That building has a total of 9 classrooms, 6 restrooms,  and a nursery. Current plans call for the replacement of the flooring and other upgrades as well. Ongoing construction and remodeling will see a Youth area upstairs, church offices, and a foul weather entrance on the Westside of the main building. Future plans are for a Family Life Center to be constructed, complete with an indoor gymnasium, class rooms, and more as the church grows.

Our church is a cooperating member of the Gulf Coast Baptist Association, the Mississippi Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. While we hold true to the beliefs of the Baptist Faith & Message, we welcome all who seek to praise, worship, learn, & know more about the Lord Jesus! If you would like to visit with us, our service times are:
        Sunday School begins at 9:45 with coffee and prayer in the
                         Fellowship Hall.
          Morning Worship starts at 11:00, with evening services at 6:00   
          Wednesday evenings begin at 7:00 PM
                         Our Youth Service is at 7 PM on Wednesday evenings.
                         Both RAs and GAs meet at 7 PM on Wednesdays as well.
